Today is national Bow Tie Day. Bow ties are kinda like a compromise on having a tie. They still look kinda snazzy but take up less of the torso surface. Some people think they look kinda dorky and unattractive, but ignore those guys, they suck eggs. I have a feeling once I hit a certain age I'm probably going to wear a ton of bow ties. I could totally wear bowties if I wanted to now I just don't have any yet.

There's actually a type of food called "bowtie"-- a type of pasta also known as "Farfalle", which is Italian for butterfly. I don't eat pasta, but I've heard Farfalle is good in pasta salad. It's also fairly common to find people getting creative with coloring the dough, making a variety of different designs, but stripes and solid colors seem to be the most common. Some of them would even be good designs for an actual bowtie. In particular, there’s one rainbow striped pasta I keep finding pictures of online.

[EDITOR’S NOTE: If the same companies that make those handbags shaped like pasta boxes don’t have clip-on bowties shaped like farfalle, I’m gonna be mad. Get on that.]
