Today is National Cat Herders Day. Let me start by explaining what a cat herder is. Basically "herding cats" is an idiom for trying to control the uncontrollable. Under these pretenses, a cat herder is someone who can actually control the uncontrollable. I will say it doesn't happen everyday, but human advancements change what was believed to be possible every once in a while, and it's never really just one person, despite what some might want you to think. Next time you watch a movie, pay attention to the credits.
On a lighter note, whenever I hear someone talk about herding cats I think back on an episode of Mythbusters where they actually tried herding cats. It really didn't work, but I'm glad they checked.
