December 26th

Today is Boxing Day. Now Boxing Day is a holiday I feel like I actually have to explain, because I've seen too many people point to it on a calendar and go, "I don't know what this is" including my friend Kevin the one time I got him a lizard calendar and the first thing he did was flip to December, point to Boxing Day, and told me "I've never had anyone be able to tell me what the is was". A teacher then promptly came over and explained it to us.

But basically, people who were stuck as full time servants working Christmas would get a day after Christmas where they would receive their holiday gifts, bonuses, and a day off they didn't get on Christmas itself. Kevin then thanked the teacher and brought her a Christmas box the first day back from school filled with mini candy canes and $8 in $2 bills to the teacher that explained it to him. And that was the first time I saw a $2 in person. Happy Boxing Day everybody.
