February 14th - Valantines Day

Today is Valentine's day. A few months ago I said "Valentine's Day is kinda three different holidays depending on your relationship status", and I have to say I feel like I was definitely right. If you are not interested in romance, it's a time to display platonic affection and enjoy some cheap candy after the 14th. If you are heartbroken or longing, it can be a reminder of what you want but don't have. But if you're got it, it's time to celebrate that you have someone to celebrate Valentine's with.

This is the first year of my life I've not been single on this day. I've not said it out loud yet, but they wanted me to say something, so I have this article to announce it. Me and Cal, we're a thing. We have been for a while now, but I didn't know what to say about it. I figured today would be the perfect day to announce it to the world. I'm in love with Calexta. And they love me back and it's wonderful. I know it's not for everyone but I'm definitely a romantic and being able to have someone to love like that, it's an incredible feeling, and I know Cal feels it too. What a wonderful thing, I'm in love.

[ASSOCIATE NOTE: I should probably weigh in as the other half of this partnership, yeah me and Tom started dating back in November, but we are both kinda shy, so we decided Valentines would be a good time to let the cat out of the bag. He actually asked me over take out and fantasia. Our three month anniversary was last Sunday. I hope this is the first of many valentines for the two of us 🩵]
