Hello World, It's Calexta
Today is the birthday of one of my favorite indie games. Stardew Valley takes everything people like about Harvest Moon/Story of Seasons like games and puts it in a lovely PC game. Farming, animal tending, finding a spouse, cooking, maintaining a positive relationship with the supernatural, fishing, mining, killing monsters, minigames, horse riding, and other normal farmer stuff fills the gameplay.
I play this game PC with mods, and I'm still looking for a mod to put harvest moon boyfriends in this game. I've already married Sebastian and Emily before, and I want to go old school next save file. I pretty much went from harvest moon cute ROMs to playing this instead and I will love the mods available. Especially the ones that mess with poor dead grandpa and his quickly drawn bed. I actually have the table tennis one on my game for my next playthrough.
Ough, Stardew....One of these days I will 100% a save file, or maybe on every farm type... I still love the tidbit that ConcernedApe made the game on that horrible little dinky setup. That's just...SO game dev.
STARDEW, MY BELOVED. I play with mods, too! I’ve been meaning to try out more, I have some right now that redesigned the outward appearances of locations and grassland and things so that it’s sort of cottagecore-esque and also less straining on the eyes. I’m married to Elliott in my main file and roommates with Krobus in another. I tried romancing Abigail once but never finished, I’m also best friends with all the old people like Willy and Evelyn. And poor Grandpa with his crappy bed, people are so creative!
