Today is Shark Awareness Day. If you think sharks are mindless, evil, eating machines I hope to change your mind today. If you are already cool with sharks, we are on the same page. Sharks are high up on any ocean food chain and because of this they are crucial to ocean ecosystems. But that being said they aren't teratoral like some other ocean predators. The big thing is people are so scared of sharks but we are more dangerous to sharks then they are to us. Sure a human might not be able to take on a shark in a 1v1, but like with most things humans have figured out how to cheat with friends and tool usage so now humans kill around 100,000,000 sharks a year and there's no way we can keep that up and still have sharks. That being said Sharks can do a lot of damage if they go after you. Just always be careful and aware of your surroundings, and do your research if the beach you are going to has a history of shark attacks.
