Today is the 40th anniversary of the legendary sci-fi film TRON. This movie is known for being very CGI heavy, and while a lot of movies have too much CGI now, Tron was made in the early 80's. Money for Nothing is three years away, and Toy Story won't be for another decade.
Appropriate for its heavy use of computer graphics, Tron is about some dude getting stuck in a computer and having to fight his way out of AI bloodsport land. The film had a sequel in the 2000's but the best thing I can say about it is the soundtrack was done by Daft Punk. I miss those funky robots.
Also the actual "Light Cycles" game based on this movie is really fun. Like even with my anti-arcade game levels of patience, I really enjoy it.

Overrated and boring. Sure, back in the day the effects might've been enough to keep you entertained, but nowadays it just makes the whole experience worse. Very predictable, too much exposition and it's not even that engaging to begin with. Every time I watch it I always wish it was over. I HATE THIS MOVIE.
Hohoho… TRON, I’ve been meaning to get to that. The only thing I know is that Dan Shor is in it, and I know him as Billy the Kid from Bill and Ted’s Excellent Adventure amongst other things.
Oh daft punk might be my favorite band. What a good old movie
