June 10th - World Art Nouveau Day

Today is World Art Nouveau Day, Art Nouveau being that one pretty art style with the circles and spirals, pastel colors, thin European women in toga-like dresses, stained glass and everything. That soft and organic proto art-deco style that makes you feel like you shouldn't be wearing shoes because nobody else in the room is. For some reason, Art Nouveau is like, peak adult coloring book style to me. The kind that's supposed to be relaxing but you don't own a single art supply that can fit in the lines because everything is so detailed and small so you debate between fighting with keeping your best colored pencils as sharp as possible or just go outside the lines with some watercolor. You know?
