June 6th - Evil Faming Game (Vargskelethor)

Today in 2015, something hilarious and kinda dumb happened. Joel Vargskelethor, a professional video game streamer from the streaming group Vinesauce, was playing the video game Global Defense Force when he spitballed out the idea for an unconventional horror game. It would be comparable to farming simulations like Harvest Moon, but you kill your wife at the beginning and have to do Harvest Moon stuff over her dead body. Well, one person fell asleep during this stream, and that thing happened where you hear something being described and it plants the seeds for what you dream about. They didn't realize it was all only a Vinesauce-based dream, and asked people to help them look for this game they faintly recalled playing. So for a few years, a lot of people were on a goosechase for a computer game that wasn't out there. Until now, of course, because people just went ahead and made the game real, why not. Might as well ensure it wasn't all for nothing.

Old streams always feel older than they actually are in my experience

I like how people decided to make the game real themselves, because it is an interesting concept for an indie game

I think part of the reason people thought this was real to begin with is that is is the kinda simple premise someone could easily make a game out of. I imagine it would of been weird to be working on a game like that and learn halfway in you were working on yet another Vinesause fangame.
