Today is Dr. Seuss' birthday, and I'm not going to torture you by attempting to rhyme the whole article. Theodor “Dr. Seuss” Geisel is a children's author probably best known for his art and for making up fake words for rhymes. Notably "Nerd" and "Oobleck", two things that are often found together funny enough.
Now an odd thing about Dr. Seuss is that originally his name was meant to be pronounced differently than it is now. Originally Geisel wanted his surname to be pronounced like "Soice" to rhyme with "Voice", but most of his audience pronounced his pen name like it rhymed with "Zeus". That being said, Geisel ended up agreeing with the public pronunciation of his pen name, saying in particular he liked how it invoked Mother Goose. Also if anyone was going to change their name pronunciation to rhyme with another name better, it's going to be the guy who made up new words for rhyme reasons.
...Well, the article queue still works?
