May 10th - National Shrimp Day

Today is National Shrimp Day. Shrimps are the funny little guys of the ocean. Shrimps as an animal have been around a long time, and you gotta appreciate that we still have them around. Probably the most powerful shrimp is the Mantis Shrimp. This is a shrimp that can pack a wallop with a 60 Miles-per-hour punch despite usually being 2 to 7 inches long.This is the strongest punch in the animal kingdom. They literally hunt for food by shattering mollusk shells or casting one hit knockouts on fish. And then you look at them and they look like a prog rock album cover lived in the ocean. What an amazing creature.
