Today every year at this time,
To honor a flavor of rhyme
So, Hip hip hooray,
It is Limerick Day!
Although writing this one is a climb.
As a poem it is awfully strange
To get the words to arrange
I'm glad I'm not scored
But I am kinda bored
So my format I will now exchange.
But happy Limerick Day everybody.
