May 6th -National Space Day

Today is National Space Day. Space is kinda freaky, because it's just everything upwards of our planet's gravity above the sky and atmosphere. I think humans are so fascinated by outer space because it's cool and hard to get to, and we aren't supposed to be there. It's also kinda like water, but made of nothing. I'm scared of space, but in love with its beauty. Moons, stars, planets, asteroids, constellations. I love the aesthetics of it. Everything is so big and spinning in perfect and imperfect circles like a mobile made of everything. I use a lot of star imagery because I think stars are just the prettiest things, just dots of powerful energy telling us they are out there by being visible from impossible distances. If you are reading this after dark, on a clear night, somewhere without too much light pollution and are able to slip outside, look at the stars for me.
