Hello World, it's StarJaxer

Today, as I promised on the 7th, I'm going to be discussing The Hub, an attempt at a joint network between Discovery Networks and Hasbro. This was a retheme of the old Discovery Kids bolstered by toy based kid cartoons, game shows, and sitcom reruns, a la Nick at Night.

The Hub had a major success and curse in having "My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic" going turbo popular online. It was a major online fad for a few years and you saw a lot of people lose themselves to a world of talking horses, just like the ending of Gullervers travels. The worst of it was that a ton of people thought the cartoon horses weren't R rated enough and did as much as they could to fix that perceived issue. Personally my favorite show on the channel was Dan vs, which was barely not an adult cartoon.

Well, because the channel was a one pony trick, Hasbro pulled out a bit and the channel turned into Discovery Family, where they pretty much canned most of the original shows and ended the few that were selling enough toys. Personally, I think the channels stuck with its current, less than the sum of its parts from until Discovery-WB decides to ax it like everything else they have thrown away without any care of what went into it lately.
