Today is the launch anniversary of Windows Millennium Edition. Windows Me is considered the worst version of Windows by many Windows fans. On paper, to someone at the time, Windows Me sounds like maybe should have been good. Like, they just added a movie maker and a built-in DVD player. That sounds fun.
The big thing is, most of those problems were not out of the box problems. They slowly revealed themselves to its user. This badboy has more bugs than a ladybird farm. The operating system was less than stable. It got bad enough that a lot of people just changed their computer to Windows 2000, which was supposed to be the business version of Windows at the time. Eventually, Windows XP came out, and Windows Me was left to irrelevance.
