Hello World, it's StarJaxer
Today I am talking about a lost website I personally used in the past. PunkGalaxy was a form site active from 2010 to 2017. It was comparable to websites like Gaia Online or Stardoll. It acted as a music form site with an emphasis on alternative rock, and relevant subcultures, alongside a dress up character feature with a lot of different alt rock inspired outfit items. I wish I still had images of their bootleg TMBG items because I know Tom would love to see them.
The sites best known today for its sudden and mysterious shutdown, which was later revealed to be the result of the sites owner, known only as Dr. Myxomatosis, having intentionally overreacted to a cease and desist from a single band over a item in the game containing imagery from their illegally leaked album cover.
This is a bit personal, but I had my first online boyfriend on the site. However we lost contact altogether when the site went down without us having any other contact and I couldn't find him on any other sites. I've never made that mistake again, and I have about three other ways to contact the other WSTH mods if anything happens to this site. And xXDigitalLoveXx, if you ever find this, I still love you and miss what we had, but it's been over five years and I think I'm long past ready to move on.
[WEBMASTER NOTE: I almost made an account there as a teen, and hearing you talk about it always makes me regret that I didn't. I would have quested for all of those TMBG inspired items.]
