As you know I really like Homestar Runner and as you probably didn't know most forms of math don't make any sense to me. That being said, I like statics, but only the hot stuff like making bar graphs and anything that involves me sorting things and counting things in fun piles, like I'm doing today. As of writing we haven't seen who anyone is during the 2022 season, but I'm going to count up to 2021, so I have 19 Halloweens (17 cartoons and two games) to count anyway. I will post an updated list/part 2 after Halloween because we have got early silhouettes this year but the toon is not up yet

And now a fun detail for some of the costumes
Probably the biggest and steadiest homestar runner Halloween costume trend to this day, Coach Z dressing like a rapper and/or hip-hop musician or relevant character. Out of his 19 costumes, only two have lacked his musical theming: 2005 when he dressed as Theo Huxtable from The Cosby Show (a fact that was lampshaded in the toon) and 2021 where he followed the same point and click theme as everyone else and dressed as Malcolm from Kyrandia 3.
Strong Bad had a pretty good joke in his first few Halloween toons that he kept dressing as notable Carmens. I remember hearing someone point out once that strong bad crossdressed for his first two Halloween costumes, but then The King of town made fun of him for being "dressed up as a girl two years in a row" and then Strong Bad never "dressed up as a girl" again, but The King of Town did dress like girls 3 times after that, including two years in a row in 2017 and 2018. I don't know if this means anything, it's just an observation.
There's a number of scrapped Halloween costumes that I didn't count for this survey but you can still find the full art for. The biggest lot of these scrapped costumes are from around "The House That Gave Sucky Treats" release, so October 2001-ish. The costumes in question are: Pom Pom As The Skipper from Gilligan's Island, Marzipan as Velma Dinkley from Scooby Doo, And Coach Z as The Noid from Dominos. I like Coach Z as The Noid in particular and I think I could hoax someone unfamiliar with HSR into thinking it was a scrapped 2000's redesign of the character.
Sometimes the costumes pair well together in the same year . In 2009 Strong Bad and the Poopsmith both dressed as characters from the Legend of Zelda franchise, specifically games that came out for the series for the Nintendo 64.
In 2014, Strong Bad dressed up as Mac Tonight and his brother Strong Sad dressed up as the Pale Man from Pan's Labyrinth. Both characters are played by Doug Jones.
I feel like I'm writing movie trivia about a series of 16 cartoons and 3 games at this point so I'm going to end this one with my personal favorite costume from each year.
2000- Tron (The Poopsmith)
2001- Carmen Sandiego (Strong Bad)
2002- Vyvyan (Strong Sad)
2003- Speed Racer (Stinko Man)

2005- Beaker (Marzipan)
2006-Coach McGuirk (Bubs)
2007- Typewriter Guy (Homsar)
2008- Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy (Strong Bad)
2009- Money for Nothing Sal (Strong Mad)
2010- Snow Globe (Pom Pom)
